In response to South Africa’s growing digital divide and high youth unemployment rate, BIZHUB is launching a comprehensive, future-focused IT Training Programme. This initiative aims to equip individuals, especially youth from disadvantaged communities, with digital skills, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in key technology sectors.
By integrating this programme with BIZHUB’s core services, hardware resale, refurbishment, and e-waste recycling, we create a skilled workforce pipeline ready to maintain, use, and advance technology.
This initiative aims to equip the disadvantaged communities, especially young African women with digital skills, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in critical technology sectors
Programme Goals
Our IT Training Programme is designed to:

Delivery Approach
The programme will be accessible nationwide through hybrid learning methods (in-person and online), ensuring scalability, inclusivity, and flexibility.
Digital Training Programmes (Basic to Intermediate)
Objective:
Empower participants with essential computer literacy and practical digital skills to participate in the modern economy.
Key Components:
Basic Computer Literacy – Operating systems, file management, email, internet safety, and communication tools.
Intermediate Digital Skills – Office productivity tools, spreadsheets, cloud collaboration, and data entry.
Partnerships – Working with public schools, TVET colleges, and NGOs to integrate digital literacy into education.
Target Group – Underprivileged youth, unemployed adults, school learners, and emerging entrepreneurs.
Opportunities:
Collaborate with the Department of Basic Education on digital curriculum rollouts.

Technical Workshop Training in Hardware & Maintenance
Objective:
Provide hands-on training in computer assembly, diagnostics, and refurbishment to create skilled technicians.

Hardware Repair & Upgrades – Practical exposure within BIZHUB’s refurbishment centre.
E-Waste Sorting & Safe Disposal – Teaching sustainable tech disposal methods.
Certification Partnerships – Co-designing curriculum with SETA-accredited institutions.
Internship & Job Placement – Offering practical work experience within BIZHUB’s operations.

3D Printing & Digital Fabrication
Training in CAD software, 3D modeling, machine operation, and prototyping.
